Automated Detection of Relations in Data Structures
Nováček, Pavel ; Fiedor, Tomáš (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis deals with automated knowledge acquisition from structured data, precisely it includes detections of relations of data types in tree-structured data. The thesis is a part of Testos platform, which aims at software testing automation. The goal was to design and implement a solution that would automatically plan and execute detections over samples of real data structures. Detections would be handled by external modules called detectors that would cooperate with the solution. The final tool is a service which implements a algorithm for communicating with detectors via well-defined protocol, sending them requests in parallel to perform detections and handling results of detections. The service can be managed and tasked via created HTTP API. The results of detections, i.e. meanings and relations of input data, are used by other tools of Testos platform for the purpose of generating new test data with structure corresponding to input samples of real data.
Theory vs. practicality - current state of television reportage on the ČT24 and CNN Prima NEWS channels with focus on the parlament election of 2021
Svoboda, Ondřej ; Lokšík, Martin (advisor) ; Géla, František (referee)
The goal of this magister thesis is to find out how much the current appearance of the genre of the "television news reportage" corresponds with theory. It also compares how much, if at all, it differentiates between the two main Czech news television channels - ČT24 and CNN Prima NEWS. The theoretical part describes the historical development of the genre, its current form according to theories and the "ideal" work methods of reporters. The practical part does not follow these problematics by the traditional way of content analysis, however - it instead tries to approach it "from the inside", through the optics of active journalists. Using grounded theory, it examines a sample comprising of six journalists, three from each media outlet. The target is to find out whether their view of the "reportage" genre corresponds with theory and whether or not they know about eventual connections. Using questions like "what makes a good 'reportage' in your opinion" or "what does your usual workday look like", it does not only confront theory with reality. It also compares the two media outlets in between one another. It mostly focuses on the experiences of chosen reporters during the parliamentary election of 2021.

Paráčková, Markéta ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (advisor) ; Lokšík, Martin (referee)
Bachelor thesis "Newsroom of TV Nova at the Beginning of the Second Decade of the 21st Century" describes everyday life in a modern private television's newsroom in the age of speed, technical achievements and visual attraction. It also defines important aspects of daily work in the newsroom and interactions among its members. TV Nova's newsroom produces the most watched news cast in the Czech Republic; however it does not contain tens of reporters. Chamber character of the newsroom reflects in friendly relationships and close cooperation among all its members. This limits rivalry to a certain degree. Newsroom TV Nova, considering several news cast produced during the day, works constantly. Except of the weekends, news for Breakfast with Nova are prepared during the night and there are preparation for afternoon and evening news casts running since early morning. Therefore, the newsroom is never empty. Demanding everyday working hours have built a certain routine in numerous reporters. Those, who work here for many years, even suggest feelings of "burn out". Freshmen on the other hand consider working scheme appropriate.

It focuses on the evaluation of broadcasts from the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Czech TV and American FOX Sports and the final matches of the Czech and American top American football competitions on the same stations, the so-called Czech Bowl and the famous Super Bowl. It also provides an insight into the difference between the size of the largest American football match in the Czech Republic and the famous Super Bowl and their television coverage. It is also interesting to compare broadcasts of different sports on the same TV station, while in the Czech Republic it is the mainstream football and not-so-popular American football, whereas in the USA the situation is exactly the opposite. It is also possible to evaluate different approaches in communication towards the audience during broadcasts. The key part is the analysis of...
